books for sale & update stuff

I've got a bunch of books for sale on this page If you'd like any, email me at the link on the page & I'll let you know if I still have it & we'll work out shipping info... if you're not happy with the price, make me an offer!

Weaving

Because of what's been going on, I've pretty much decided to hold off on doing the daily weaving that I had wanted to do... if things simmer down a little, perhaps I'll try it in January, meanwhile I'll try to get the small pieces that I've started done... need to get the concepts down, anyway!

I'll probably do a few drawings to come up with some ideas for tapestry pieces or/and Navajo style pieces...

Letterboxing

A few months ago I found out about letterboxing & this fall we went out & searched for a couple of letterboxes in our area & they are cool. We'd like to plant our own letterboxes, but need to come up with a reasonably priced container to use and also I would make up a few little log books similar to this one which I made back in October of last year (wow, has it been THAT long?? The "finished" product has a duct tape binding...fitting for Texas or what? LOL

Knitting

Almost done with Sarah's socks... here's a photo (but I've got more of it done since the photo):

Liberty has graciously allowed me to use him for the background!

If enough of you are interested, I might be persuaded to write out the pattern! It's a cool slip stitch cable pattern... makes me laugh when it's time to drop, pick up & knit the slipped stitch!

And I chopped off the toes of her brother's socks to re-do them since I felt they were WAAAY too long even for a 2 yr old! Will be using Soxie's round toe as shown here

Life in general

Life's been throwing curves... watching someone you care about fight with depression is not fun or easy. The initial few weeks on new medicines can be rough... right now we're dealing with long sleeping hours (14-18 hours/day or so) and the prozac still hasn't kicked in and we have no idea whether or not it even WILL kick in... he's been taking that since mid-November...
Add to that: the kids are having trouble understanding what's going on even though we've talked about it. Depression is not one of those things that's apparently obvious like throwing up or coughing/pale, or something like that, so that makes it harder for kids...
