These spindles are individually handpainted CDs and spin nicely.

They come as kits with:
2 cds: 1 handpainted & 1 for extra weight
1 dowel (3/8" or 7/16" in diameter) with cup hook
wool fleece (this could be Briggs & Little Carded fleece or Jaggerspun wool-silk laps, or wool-mohair laps that you can spin on your new spindle
OPTIONAL: drop spindle instructions from SpinCraft.

These are all one of a kind, all CDs are primed and then painted (by Jessica) with acrylic paint and then varnished for extra protection...actual colors may not be exactly the same as shown on the monitor.

	These spindles will be shipped ready to assemble and packed with approximately 1/3 lb (5 oz) of wool...this might be 100% carded wool fleece from Briggs & Little or it might be Wool-Silk Laps in Natural...if you have a preference for one of these, please post a note in the PayPal comment box or send me a separate email to by clicking here. If you don't have a preference, I will choose a spinning fiber for you! These spindle kits vary between $12.00 and $15.00... $3 for spindling instructions from Spincraft ... to order spinning instructions, go to the bottom of the page to click on spinning instructions. More wool is available as well for $1/oz...I will pack your spindle with approximately 3 or more ounces of the fibers I have on hand: this could be Briggs & Little Heritage carded wool or/and wool-silk laps. The dowel will have a cup hook & the CDs will have a grommit and the top CD will have the painting of your choice. The spindle consists of 2 cds in a grommit with one handpainted with acrylic paint and varnished, and a dowel with a cup hook...the dowels will either be 5/8" or 7/16" in diameter. If you have a preference for one or the other, please let me know (although availability may take preference)! The 7/16" is a VERY tight fit but is harder to insert into the grommit, but there's no risk of the cd slipping. It's fun to watch these spindles spin, especially the ones with off-center designs!
